Kidney & transplant patients are invited to an annual patient & family celebration day where sessions on maintaining a healthy life-style are presented along with entertainment and fellowship opportunities. This is a free event open to all Nebraska kidney and transplant patients. The 2010 Pat/Fam Day was held in Lincoln, on May 1st. Educational Programs |

The Kidney Health & Education Program (K-HEP) is designed to provide elementary school students with a better understanding of kidney disease and its treatments, including transplantation. Emergency financial aid is available to kidney and transplant patients with a demonstrated need. All requests for financial aid must originate with the patient’s assigned social worker. |

Free medic-alert jewelry is available to kidney and transplant patients. All requests for jewelry, available in both bracelets and necklaces, must originate with the patient’s assigned social worker. |

Kidney Early Detection Screenings (K-EDS) are free kidney health evaluations conducted throughout the state of Nebraska. The program identifies individuals at-risk for developing kidney disease. For information on the next K-EDS program, click here. |
